The Aledo Bearcats routed the visiting Azle Hornets softball squad by a final score of 13-1 in Wednesday's league battle.

The Bearcats (24-4) will now prepare for their battle against Granbury (Granbury, TX). The Pirates go into the 5A Region I District 5 battle with a 6-7 record. In their last battle, Granbury was routed by Saginaw (Saginaw, TX), 14-4, in a league battle.

The Hornets now possess a 6-16 record. They play next when they host Brewer for a 5A Region I District 5 battle on Friday, April 21. Azle will meet a Bears squad coming off a 17-9 non-league loss to Nolan Catholic (Fort Worth, TX). The Bears record now stands at 10-14.
