Maine High School Softball - Brewer holds off Messalonskee
April 19, 2023: Oakland, ME 04963 Brewer Witches (Brewer, ME) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Messalonskee Eagles (Oakland, ME), 4-2 in a league challenge.
The Witches now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Edward Little for a Class A North challenge on Friday, April 21. Brewer will face a Red Eddies squad coming off a 7-3 league win over Bangor (Bangor, ME). The Red Eddies record now stands at 1-0.
With the loss, Messalonskee falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Skowhegan (Skowhegan, ME) to face the River Hawks in a Class A North challenge on Thursday, April 20. The River Hawks enter the challenge with a record of 1-0. Skowhegan won 8-6 in their recent league challenge against Hampden (Hampden, ME)
