Texas High School Softball - Leon holds off Grapeland
April 19, 2024: Grapeland, TX 75844 The Leon Cougars the host Grapeland Sandies softball squad by a final score of 9-7 in Friday's league battle.
The Cougars (14-15) will now prepare for their battle against Centerville (Centerville, TX). The Tigers go into the 1A Region IV District 25 battle with a 5-13 record. In their last battle, Centerville by Leon (Jewett, TX), 9-4, in a league battle.
The Sandies now possess a 6-17 record. They play next when they travel to Colmesneil for a non-league battle on Monday, April 22. Grapeland will meet a Bulldogs squad coming off a 6-1 league win over Chireno (Chireno, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 16-11.
