In Saturday's non-league game, the visiting Chippewa Valley Big Reds baseball team scored a close 9-6 win over the Stoney Creek Cougars.

The Big Reds (6-3) will now prepare for their game against Sterling Heights Stevenson (Sterling Heights, MI). The Titans go into the non-league game with a 8-1 record. In their last game, Sterling Heights Stevenson nudged L'Anse Creuse North (Macomb, MI), 9-0, in a non-league game.
