The Sparta Spartans baseball team scored 7 runs and held the visiting Tri County Area Vikings to 1 in the Spartans non-league win on Saturday.

The Spartans now own a 5-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Allendale for a non-league test on Monday, April 21. Sparta will clash with a Falcons team coming off a 7-1 non-league loss to Kenowa Hills (Grand Rapids, MI). The Falcons record now stands at 3-6.

With the defeat, Tri County Area drops to 3-5 on the year. The Vikings travel to Big Rapids (Big Rapids, MI) to clash with the Cardinals in a Central State test on Wednesday, April 23. The Cardinals go into the test with a record of 4-3.
