The crowd at Saturday's non-league battle between the Thurston Eagles (Redford, MI) and the visiting Ypsilanti Grizzlies (Ypsilanti, MI), saw Thurston's baseball team gain a win over Ypsilanti by a tally of 7-5.

The Eagles (3-4) will now prepare for their battle against Melvindale (Melvindale, MI). The Cardinals enter the Western Wayne battle with a 8-3 record. In their last battle, Melvindale held off Canton Preparatory (Canton, MI), 10-0, in a non-league battle.
