April 2, 2024: Iola, KS 66749 Iola Mustangs (Iola, KS) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Prairie View Buffalos (La Cygne, KS), 10-0 in a league test.
With the win, Iola upgrades its record to 4-4 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Santa Fe Trail (Carbondale, KS) to battle the Chargers in a Pioneer test on Friday, April 5. The Chargers come into the test with a record of 8-0. Santa Fe Trail won 13-0 in their recent non-league battle against St. Marys (St. Marys, KS)
The Buffalos now possess a 0-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Paola for a non-league battle on Thursday, April 4. Prairie View will play a Panthers squad coming off a 12-2 non-league win over Eudora (Eudora, KS). The Panthers record now stands at 4-1.
