Texas High School Softball - Midway nudges Copperas Cove
April 2, 2024: Waco, TX 76712 Midway Panthers (Waco, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Copperas Cove Bulldawgs (Copperas Cove, TX), 12-11 in a league challenge.
The Panthers now own a 14-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Temple for a challenge on Friday, April 5. Midway will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 14-3 league loss to Midway (Waco, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 0-1.
With the loss, Copperas Cove falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Bulldawgs travel to Bryan (Bryan, TX) to face the Vikings in a non-league challenge on Friday, April 19. The Vikings enter the challenge with a record of 0-1.
