April 2, 2024: Ellsworth, KS 67439 Ellsworth Bearcats (Ellsworth, KS) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Russell Broncos (Russell, KS), 19-3 in a non-league challenge.
The Bearcats now own a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they host Ellinwood for a non-league challenge on Monday, April 8. Ellsworth will face a Eagles squad coming off a 15-5 non-league loss to Little River (Little River, KS). The Eagles record now stands at 0-3.
With the loss, Russell falls to 0-4 on the campaign. The Broncos host Goodland (Goodland, KS) to face the Cowboys in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 9.
