The Reedy Lions routed the visiting The Colony Cougars softball squad by a final score of 14-5 in Tuesday's league battle.

The Lions (14-8) will now prepare for their battle against Newman Smith (Carrollton, TX). The Trojans go into the 5A Region II District 9 battle with a 8-17 record. In their last battle, Newman Smith was routed by Wakeland (Frisco, TX), 21-0, in a league battle.

The Cougars now possess a 8-9 record. They play next when they travel to Creekview for a 5A Region II District 9 battle on Friday, April 5. The Colony will confront a Mustangs squad coming off a 6-4 league loss to Turner (Carrollton, TX). The Mustangs record now stands at 14-10.
