In Thursday's non-league game, the host Joplin Eagles baseball team scored a close 10-3 win over the Central Bulldogs.

The Eagles (4-2) will now prepare for their game against Mill Valley (Shawnee, KS). The Jaguars go into the non-league game with a 5-0 record. In their last match, Mill Valley tipped Shawnee Mission West (Shawnee Mission, KS), 8-3, in a league match.
