Purvis Tornadoes (Purvis, MS) fans exited the stadium happy Thursday as they observed their softball team get by the host Stone Tomcats (Wiggins, MS), 6-5 in a league match.

The Tornadoes (12-4) will now prepare for their match against Vancleave (Vancleave, MS). The Bulldogs go into the 5A Region 4 match with a 12-12 record. In their last match, Vancleave tipped Wayne County (Waynesboro, MS), 2-1, in a league match.

In their next game, the Tomcats battle the Northeast Jones Tigers (Laurel, MS) in a 5A Region 4 match, on Tuesday, April 7. Stone will attempt to better on its 14-10 season record. The Tigers go into the match with a 19-6 record after their 13-1 league loss to East Central (Moss Point, MS).
