North Carolina High School Baseball - West Lincoln nips Newton-Conover
April 20, 2022: Newton, NC 28658 West Lincoln Rebels (Lincolnton, NC) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the host Newton-Conover Red Devils (Newton, NC), 6-5 in a non-league test.
With the win, West Lincoln upgrades its record to 9-11 on the season. The Rebels host East Burke (Connelly Springs, NC) to battle the Cavaliers in a Catawba Valley Athletic 2A test on Tuesday, April 26. The Cavaliers come into the test with a record of 4-12. East Burke lost 6-3 in their recent non-league test against Patton (Morganton, NC)
With the defeat, Newton-Conover falls to 5-12 on the season. The Red devils travel to Bunker Hill (Claremont, NC) to battle the Bears in a Catawba Valley Athletic 2A test on Tuesday, April 26. The Bears come into the test with a record of 9-9. Bunker Hill won 3-1 in their recent non-league test against Hickory (Hickory, NC)
