Northwest Area Rangers (Shickshinny, PA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host Sugar Valley Rural Phoenix (Loganton, PA), 19-1 in a league test.

With the win, Northwest Area upgrades its record to 5-4 on the season. The Rangers host Neumann Regional Academy (Williamsport, PA) to battle the Golden Knights in a Mid-Penn D4 test on Saturday, April 22. The Golden Knights come into the test with a record of 5-5. Neumann Regional Academy won 13-10 in their recent league test against Millville (Millville, PA)

With the defeat, Sugar Valley Rural falls to 0-10 on the season. The Phoenix host Muncy (Muncy, PA) to battle the Indians in a Mid-Penn D4 test on Monday, April 24. The Indians come into the test with a record of 6-3. Muncy lost 8-4 in their recent non-league test against Lewisburg (Lewisburg, PA)
