Virginia High School Baseball - Nansemond River nips Great Bridge
April 20, 2023: Chesapeake, VA 23322 Nansemond River Warriors (Suffolk, VA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the host Great Bridge Wildcats (Chesapeake, VA), 10-9 in a non-league test.
With the win, Nansemond River upgrades its record to 4-3 on the season. The Warriors travel to Indian River (Chesapeake, VA) to battle the Braves in a non-league test on Tuesday, April 25. The Braves come into the test with a record of 3-5. Indian River lost 12-9 in their recent non-league test against Lakeland (Suffolk, VA)
With the defeat, Great Bridge falls to 7-4 on the season. The Wildcats host King's Fork (Suffolk, VA) to battle the Bulldogs in a non-league test on Tuesday, April 25. The Bulldogs come into the test with a record of 0-3.
