Virginia High School Soccer - Western Albemarle knocks off Monticello
April 20, 2023: Crozet, VA 22932 Western Albemarle Warriors (Crozet, VA) fans were pleased Thursday as they observed their soccer team knock off the visiting Monticello Mustangs (Charlottesville, VA), 4-1 in a league challenge.
Next, the Warriors confront the Orange County Fighting Hornets (Orange, VA) in a Jefferson challenge, on Monday, April 24. Western Albemarle will attempt to better on its 9-1 season record. The Fighting Hornets enter the challenge with a 4-3 record after their 3-2 league win over Goochland (Goochland, VA).
The Mustangs now have a 5-3 record. They take the field next when they host Charlottesville for a Jefferson challenge on Monday, April 24. Monticello will confront a Black Knights team coming off a 3-0 league win over Fluvanna County (Palmyra, VA). The Black Knights record now stands at 9-1.
