April 20, 2024: Taylorsville, KY 40071 The Spencer County Bears got by the visiting Southern Trojans baseball team by a count of 11-10 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Bears now possess a 11-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Anderson County for a District 30 bout on Tuesday, April 23. Spencer County will face a Bearcats team coming off a 10-0 league loss to Woodford County (Versailles, KY). The Bearcats record now stands at 11-5.
Next, the Trojans face the Eastern Eagles (Louisville, KY) in a non-league bout, on Monday, April 22. Southern will attempt to move on its 6-10 season record. The Eagles enter the bout with a 13-4 record after their 5-0 non-league win over Fern Creek (Louisville, KY).
