New Jersey High School Lacrosse - New Providence can't get by Westwood
April 20, 2024: New Providence, NJ 07924 Westwood Cardinals (Washington Township, NJ) followers exited the stadium in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their lacrosse squad edge the host New Providence Pioneers (New Providence, NJ), 8-7 in a league battle.
The Cardinals now have a 7-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Livingston for a non-league battle on Monday, April 22. Westwood will clash with a Lancers squad coming off a 13-12 non-league win over Mount St. Dominic Academy (Caldwell, NJ). The Lancers record now stands at 5-3.
In their next game, the Pioneers clash with the Sparta Spartans (Sparta, NJ) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, April 23. New Providence will attempt to move on its 2-5 season record. The Spartans come into the battle with a 6-2 record after their 7-6 non-league win over Voorhees (Glen Gardner, NJ).
