The Tyler Knights (Sistersville, WV) softball nipped the visiting River Pilots (Hannibal, OH), 6-5 in Saturday's non-league bout.

The Knights (9-12) will now prepare for their bout against Valley (Pine Grove, WV). The Lumberjacks go into the non-league bout with a 2-9 record. In their last bout, Valley held off Paden City (Paden City, WV), 20-8, in a league bout.

The Pilots now possess a 6-2 record. They play next when they travel to Caldwell for a Pioneer Valley bout on Monday, April 22. River will confront a Redskins squad coming off a 17-7 league win over Shenandoah (Sarahsville, OH). The Redskins record now stands at 10-2.
