Vermont High School Softball - Thetford Academy bounces Vergennes
April 20, 2024: Thetford, VT 05074 Thetford Academy Panthers (Thetford, VT) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Vergennes Commodores (Vergennes, VT), 16-4 in a non-league challenge.
The Panthers now own a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lake Region for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 23. Thetford Academy will battle a Rangers squad coming off a 9-1 non-league loss to Bellows Free Academy (Fairfax, VT). The Rangers record now stands at 0-1.
With the loss, Vergennes falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Commodores travel to Richford (Richford, VT) to battle the Falcons in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 23. The Falcons enter the challenge with a record of 1-1. Richford won 16-9 in their recent non-league challenge against Lamoille (Hyde Park, VT)
