The Thayer Bobcats softball team scored 2 runs and held the host Ava Bears to 1 in the Bobcats league win on Monday.

The Bobcats now possess a 14-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Van Buren for a non-league battle on Tuesday, April 21. Thayer will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 27-0 non-league win over Winona (Winona, MO). The Bulldogs record now stands at 7-1.

With the loss, Ava moves to 10-6 on the season. The Bears travel to Houston (Houston, MO) to confront the Tigers in a Class 2 District 3 battle on Thursday, April 23. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 10-2. Houston won 18-3 in their recent non-league bout against Cabool (Cabool, MO)
