The Casteel Colts nudged the visiting Higley Knights baseball team by a tally of 3-2 in Thursday's league bout.

The Colts now hold a 12-14 record. They take the field next when they travel to Gilbert for a 5A San Tan bout on Monday, April 25. Casteel will face a Tigers team coming off a 10-1 non-league loss to Mesquite (Gilbert, AZ). The Tigers record now stands at 16-11.

Next, the Knights face the Williams Field Black Hawks (Gilbert, AZ) in a 5A San Tan bout, on Monday, April 25. Higley will attempt to advance on its 20-5 season record. The Black Hawks enter the bout with a 14-11 record after their 7-6 non-league win over Cienega (Vail, AZ).
