April 21, 2023: Oakboro, NC 28129 In Friday's league challenge, the West Stanly Colts (Oakboro, NC) baseball squad triumphed over the visiting Forest Hills Yellow Jackets (Marshville, NC), by a final score of 18-4.
With the win, West Stanly upgrades its record to 18-3 on the season. The Colts travel to Parkwood (Monroe, NC) to battle the Wolf Pack in a Rocky River 2A/3A challenge on Tuesday, April 25. The Wolf Pack come into the challenge with a record of 10-11. Parkwood lost 8-2 in their recent non-league challenge against North Stanly (New London, NC)
With the defeat, Forest Hills falls to 5-9 on the season. The Yellow jackets host Anson (Wadesboro, NC) to face the Bearcats in a Rocky River 2A/3A outing on Tuesday, April 25. The Bearcats enter the outing with a record of 3-13. Anson lost 16-6 in their recent league outing against Central Academy (Monroe, NC)
