California High School Softball - Alameda gets by Piedmont
April 21, 2023: Alameda, CA 94501 The Alameda Hornets got by the visiting Piedmont Highlanders softball squad by a count of 1-0 in Friday's league battle.
The Hornets (10-4) will now prepare for their battle against Bishop O'Dowd (Oakland, CA). The Dragons go into the West Alameda County - Foothill battle with a 9-8 record. In their last battle, Bishop O'Dowd was edged by Castro Valley (Castro Valley, CA), 8-1, in a league battle.
The Highlanders now sport a 3-8 record. They play next when they host Berkeley for a West Alameda County - Foothill battle on Wednesday, April 26. Piedmont will meet a Yellowjackets squad coming off a 9-4 league loss to Arroyo (San Lorenzo, CA). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 4-12.
