Fulton Steamers (Fulton, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the host River Ridge/Scales Mound Wildcats (Hanover, IL), 14-2 in a league challenge.

The Steamers now own a 7-4 record. They take the field next when they host Warren/Stockton for a NUIC West challenge on Tuesday, April 25. Fulton will battle a Warhawks squad coming off a 20-8 league loss to East Dubuque (East Dubuque, IL). The Warhawks record now stands at 11-2.

With the loss, River Ridge/Scales Mound falls to 3-13 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Galena (Galena, IL) to face the Pirates in a NUIC West match on Tuesday, April 25.
