Illinois High School Softball - Lexington gets by Heyworth
April 21, 2023: Lexington, IL 61753 Spectators at Friday's league match between the Lexington Minutemen (Lexington, IL) and the visiting Heyworth Hornets (Heyworth, IL), witnessed Lexington's softball squad tip Heyworth by a count of 5-4.
The Minutemen now sport a 7-8 record. They play next when they travel to Fieldcrest for a Heart of Illinois match on Monday, April 24.
With the loss, Heyworth moves to 10-3 on the season. The Hornets travel to Deer Creek-Mackinaw (Mackinaw, IL) to face the Chiefs in a non-league match on Wednesday, April 26. The Chiefs go into the match with a record of 6-10.
