In Monday's non-league game, the host Union Academy Cardinals baseball team scored a close 8-6 win over the Corvian Community Cardinals.

The Cardinals (8-12) will now prepare for their game against Carmel Christian (Matthews, NC). The Cougars go into the non-league game with a 8-9 record. In their last game, Carmel Christian by Oakton (Vienna, VA), 4-3, in a non-league game.

Next, the Cardinals play the Langtree Charter Academy Lions (Mooresville, NC) in a Catawba Shores Athletic 1A/2A game, on Tuesday, April 22.
