The crowd at Monday's league battle between the Melrose Buffaloes (Melrose, NM) and the visiting Elida Tigers (Elida, NM), saw Melrose's baseball team get by Elida by a tally of 13-12.

The Buffaloes (8-8) will now prepare for their battle against Dexter (Dexter, NM). The Demons enter the non-league battle with a 5-11 record. In their last battle, Dexter was tipped by Tularosa (Tularosa, NM), 16-2, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Tigers face the Dora Coyotes (Dora, NM) in a A District 1 battle, on Friday, April 25. Elida will attempt to upgrade on its 5-4 season record. The Coyotes enter the battle with a 4-10 record after their 16-0 league loss to Gateway Christian (Roswell, NM).
