Virginia High School Softball - Pulaski County succumbs to William Byrd
April 7, 2025: Vinton, VA 24179 In Monday's non-league test, the William Byrd Terriers (Vinton, VA) softball team routed the visiting Pulaski County Cougars (Dublin, VA), by a margin of 16-6.
The Terriers now sport a 5-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Cave Spring for a non-league battle on Wednesday, April 9. William Byrd will confront a Knights team coming off a 19-3 non-league win over Salem (Salem, VA). The Knights record now stands at 4-0.
With the loss, Pulaski County moves to 2-5 on the season. The Cougars travel to Blacksburg (Blacksburg, VA) to confront the Bruins in a non-league battle on Tuesday, April 8. The Bruins come into the battle with a record of 0-5. Blacksburg lost 19-2 in their recent non-league battle against Lord Botetourt (Daleville, VA)
