The crowd at Tuesday's league battle between the Butler Bulldogs (Matthews, NC) and the host Independence Patriots (Charlotte, NC), saw Butler's baseball team gain a win over Independence by a tally of 6-3.

The Bulldogs (16-7) will now prepare for their battle against Independence (Charlotte, NC). The Patriots enter the Meck Power Six 7A/8A battle with a 11-12 record. In their last battle, Independence held off Rocky River (Mint Hill, NC), 13-3, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Patriots face the Rocky River Ravens (Mint Hill, NC) in a non-league battle, on Wednesday, April 22. Independence will attempt to upgrade on its 11-12 season record. The Ravens enter the battle with a 1-13 record after their 11-0 league loss to Palisades (Charlotte, NC).
