Covington Buccs (Covington, OH) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Tri-Village Patriots (New Madison, OH), 16-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Buccs now own a 15-3 record. They take the field next when they host Versailles for a non-league challenge on Monday, April 24. Covington will battle a Tigers squad coming off a 7-3 non-league loss to Arcanum (Arcanum, OH). The Tigers record now stands at 9-9.

With the loss, Tri-Village falls to 10-7 on the campaign. The Patriots host Fort Recovery (Fort Recovery, OH) to battle the Indians in a non-league challenge on Monday, April 24. The Indians enter the challenge with a record of 5-8. Fort Recovery lost 7-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Russia (Russia, OH)
