April 22, 2024: Trinity, NC 27370 Salisbury Hornets (Salisbury, NC) backers left the game pleased Monday as they saw their softball squad nudge the host Wheatmore Warriors (Trinity, NC), 6-0 in a non-league game.
With the triumph, Salisbury upgrades its record to 11-7 on the year. The Hornets travel to East Davidson (Thomasville, NC) to play the Golden Eagles in a Central Carolina 1A/2A game on Tuesday, April 23. The Golden Eagles enter the game with a record of 9-5. East Davidson won 12-0 in their recent league game against South Davidson (Denton, NC)
The Warriors now own a 6-10 record. They play next when they travel to Uwharrie Charter for a Piedmont Athletic 1A/2A game on Tuesday, April 23. Wheatmore will play a Eagles squad coming off a 5-4 league win over Eastern Randolph (Ramseur, NC). The Eagles record now stands at 14-2.
