The crowd at Wednesday's non-league bout between the Jack Britt Buccaneers (Fayetteville, NC) and the visiting Laney Buccaneers (Wilmington, NC), observed Jack Britt's softball team get by Laney by a tally of 4-2.

The Buccaneers (4-14) will now prepare for their bout against Pine Forest (Fayetteville, NC). The Trojans go into the Mid-South 7A/8A bout with a 5-14 record. In their last bout, Pine Forest tipped Terry Sanford (Fayetteville, NC), 20-2, in a non-league bout.
