Alcorn Central Bears (Glen, MS) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Independence Wildcats (Independence, MS), 10-5 in a non-league test.

With the win, Alcorn Central upgrades its record to 9-18 on the season.

With the defeat, Independence falls to 16-11 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Amory (Amory, MS) to battle the Panthers in a non-league test on Friday, April 29. The Panthers come into the test with a record of 12-4. Amory won 17-0 in their recent non-league test against Humphreys County (Belzoni, MS)
