Montezuma-Cortez Panthers (Cortez, CO) fans exited the stadium in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their soccer team nudge the host Alamosa Mean Moose (Alamosa, CO), 2-1 in a league bout.

With the win, Montezuma-Cortez moves its record to 5-4 on the campaign. The Panthers host Pagosa Springs (Pagosa Springs, CO) to battle the Pirates in a 3A Southwest bout on Tuesday, April 26. The Pirates go into the bout with a record of 4-5. Pagosa Springs lost 1-0 in their recent league bout against Bayfield (Bayfield, CO)
