Spectators at Saturday's non-league match between the Salem Wildcats (Salem, IL) and the visiting Lawrenceville Indians (Lawrenceville, IL), witnessed Salem's softball squad prevail over Lawrenceville by a count of 12-1.

The Wildcats now sport a 11-7 record. They play next when they host Columbia for a Cahokia - Mississippi match on Tuesday, April 26. Salem will meet a Eagles squad coming off a 16-1 league win over East Alton-Wood River (Wood River, IL). The Eagles record now stands at 10-3.
