Virginia High School Softball - Nelson County can't get by Dan River
April 23, 2024: Ringgold, VA 24586 In Tuesday's non-league contest, the Dan River Wildcats (Ringgold, VA) softball team held off the visiting Nelson County Governors (Lovingston, VA), by a margin of 16-15.
With the triumph, Dan River moves its record to 5-2 on the year. The Wildcats travel to Appomattox County (Appomattox, VA) to play the Raiders in a non-league contest on Wednesday, April 24. The Raiders come into the contest with a record of 6-5. Appomattox County won 9-8 in their recent non-league contest against Jefferson Forest (Forest, VA)
In their next game, the Governors play the Chatham Cavaliers (Chatham, VA) in a non-league contest, on Friday, April 26. Nelson County will attempt to move on its 3-7 season record.
