Virginia High School Softball - William Byrd bounces Fleming
April 23, 2025: Roanoke, VA 24017 The William Byrd Terriers softball team scored 12 runs and held the host Fleming Colonels to 0 in the Terriers league win on Wednesday.
The Terriers now sport a 4-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Northside for a Blue Ridge battle on Friday, April 25. William Byrd will confront a Vikings team coming off a 13-6 league loss to Lord Botetourt (Daleville, VA). The Vikings record now stands at 2-10.
With the loss, Fleming moves to 2-9 on the season. The Colonels travel to Staunton River (Moneta, VA) to confront the Golden Eagles in a Blue Ridge battle on Friday, April 25. The Golden Eagles come into the battle with a record of 10-2. Staunton River won 7-2 in their recent non-league battle against Liberty (Bedford, VA)
