The Mercer Mustangs softball squad (Mercer, PA), was edged 2-1 in Thursday's league contest with the host West Middlesex Big Reds (West Middlesex, PA)

With the triumph, West Middlesex improves its record to 8-4 on the year. The Big Reds host Hubbard (Hubbard, OH) to face the Eagles in a non-league contest on Saturday, April 25. The Eagles enter the contest with a record of 10-3. Hubbard lost 7-2 in their recent league contest against South Range (Canfield, OH)
