Illinois High School Softball - Carterville bounces Pinckneyville
April 24, 2023: Pinckneyville, IL 62274 Carterville Lions (Carterville, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Pinckneyville Panthers (Pinckneyville, IL), 11-2 in a league challenge.
The Lions now own a 20-3 record. They take the field next when they host Nolensville for a non-league challenge on Friday, April 28. Carterville will battle a squad coming off a 8-0 non-league win over Independence (Thompson's Station, TN). The record now stands at 25-10.
In their next game, the Panthers clash with the Johnston City Indians (Johnston City, IL) in a non-league game, on Wednesday, April 26. Pinckneyville will attempt to improve on its 9-8 season record. The Indians come into the game with a 20-4 record after their 7-6 non-league win over Woodlawn (Woodlawn, IL).
