Tennessee High School Softball - Clinton bounces Coalfield
April 24, 2023: Clinton, TN 37716 Spectators at Monday's non-league match between the Clinton Dragons (Clinton, TN) and the visiting Coalfield Yellow Jackets (Coalfield, TN), witnessed Clinton's softball squad prevail over Coalfield by a final score of 11-1.
The Dragons (17-6) will now prepare for their battle against Anderson County (Clinton, TN). The Mavericks go into the 3A District 4 battle with a 13-7 record. In their last battle, Anderson County notched a victory over South-Doyle (Knoxville, TN), 16-6, in a non-league battle.
The Yellow Jackets now possess a 2-6 record. They play next when they travel to King's Academy for a non-league battle on Thursday, April 27. Coalfield will meet a Lions squad coming off a 16-0 league loss to Lakeway Christian Academy (Morristown, TN). The Lions record now stands at 4-13.
