April 24, 2024: Bessemer City, NC 28016 In Wednesday's league game, the host Bessemer City Yellow Jackets baseball team scored a tight 5-2 victory over the Thomas Jefferson Gryphons.
The Yellow Jackets (5-13) will now prepare for their match against Cherryville (Cherryville, NC). The Ironmen go into the Southern Piedmont 1A/2A match with a 13-8 record. In their last match, Cherryville edged East Burke (Connelly Springs, NC), 2-0, in a non-league match.
