Butler Bulldogs (Butler, NJ) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Midland Park Panthers (Midland Park, NJ), 8-7 in a non-league challenge.

The Bulldogs now own a 8-2 record. They take the field next when they host Montclair for a non-league challenge on Friday, April 26.

With the loss, Midland Park falls to 2-8 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Cresskill (Cresskill, NJ) to battle the Cougars in a NJIC - Patriot challenge on Thursday, April 25. The Cougars enter the challenge with a record of 1-6. Cresskill lost 15-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Butler (Butler, NJ)
