South Carolina High School Softball - Williston-Elko bounces Calhoun County
April 24, 2024: Williston, SC 29853 Spectators at Wednesday's league match between the Williston-Elko Blue Devils (Williston, SC) and the visiting Calhoun County Saints (St. Matthews, SC), witnessed Williston-Elko's softball squad tip Calhoun County by a count of 17-12.
The Blue Devils now sport a 7-6 record. They play next when they host Edisto for a non-league match on Thursday, April 25. Williston-Elko will face a Cougars squad coming off a 16-1 league loss to Woodland (Dorchester, SC). The Cougars record now stands at 0-6.
With the loss, Calhoun County moves to 6-8 on the season. The Saints host North (North, SC) to face the Eagles in a A Region 4 match on Thursday, April 25. The Eagles go into the match with a record of 0-7. North lost 21-4 in their recent league match against Calhoun County (St. Matthews, SC)
