Michigan High School Softball - West Catholic holds off Spring Lake
April 24, 2024: Grand Rapids, MI 49504 The crowd at Wednesday's league match between the West Catholic Falcons (Grand Rapids, MI) and the visiting Spring Lake Lakers (Spring Lake, MI), saw West Catholic's softball squad nip Spring Lake by a count of 11-9.
The Falcons now sport a 4-3 record. They take the field next when they host Catholic Central for a non-league match on Thursday, April 25. West Catholic will face a Cougars squad coming off a 13-5 league win over Cedar Springs (Cedar Springs, MI). The Cougars record now stands at 5-0.
With the loss, Spring Lake falls to 2-8 on the campaign. The Lakers travel to Whitehall (Whitehall, MI) to face the Vikings in a non-league match on Friday, April 26. The Vikings enter the match with a record of 3-10. Whitehall lost 19-5 in their recent non-league match against Mona Shores (Norton Shores, MI)
