West Virginia High School Baseball - Nicholas County holds off Oak Hill
April 24, 2025: Summersville, WV 26651 The Nicholas County Grizzlies baseball squad scored 11 runs and limited the visiting Oak Hill Red Devils to 7 in the Grizzlies non-league triumph on Thursday.
With the triumph, Nicholas County advances its record to 10-7 on the season. The Grizzlies travel to Shady Spring (Shady Spring, WV) to battle the Tigers in a Coalfield AA match on Friday, April 25. The Tigers come into the match with a record of 10-10. Shady Spring lost 4-2 in their recent non-league match against Greenbrier East (Lewisburg, WV)
The Red Devils now have a 5-13 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Woodrow Wilson for a Coalfield AAA match on Monday, April 28. Oak Hill will battle a Flying Eagles squad coming off a 14-6 non-league win over Wyoming East (New Richmond, WV). The Flying Eagles record now stands at 12-8.
