Alabama High School Softball - Long drops to Houston Academy
April 24, 2025: Dothan, AL 36303 Houston Academy Raiders (Dothan, AL) supporters left the game thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad topple the visiting Long Rebels (Skipperville, AL), 11-2 in a non-league game.
With the triumph, Houston Academy improves its record to 23-4 on the year. The Raiders host Headland (Headland, AL) to play the Rams in a non-league game on Friday, April 25. The Rams enter the game with a record of 16-13. Headland won 14-2 in their recent non-league game against Ashford (Ashford, AL)
The Rebels now hold a 36-11 record. They play next when they travel to Ariton for a non-league game on Monday, April 28. Long will play a Purple Cats squad coming off a 16-8 non-league win over Brantley (Brantley, AL). The Purple Cats record now stands at 19-16.
