The Chester Cyclones softball team scored 19 runs and held the host Columbia Capitals to 0 in the Cyclones league win on Friday.

The Cyclones now sport a 9-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mid-Carolina for a AA Region 3 battle on Monday, April 27. Chester will confront a Rebels team coming off a 20-1 league win over Fairfield Central (Winnsboro, SC). The Rebels record now stands at 16-6.

With the loss, Columbia moves to 2-11 on the season. The Capitals host Lee Central (Bishopville, SC) to confront the Stallions in a non-league battle on Thursday, April 30.
