Tennessee High School Baseball - Cumberland Gap gets by J.I. Burton
April 25, 2023: Cumberland Gap, TN 37724 Spectators at Tuesday's non-league battle between the Cumberland Gap Panthers (Cumberland Gap, TN) and the visiting J.I. Burton Black Raiders (Norton, VA), saw Cumberland Gap's baseball squad knock off J.I. Burton by a count of 11-9.
Coming up next, the Panthers play the Cloudland Highlanders (Roan Mountain, TN) in a non-league battle, on Friday, April 28. Cumberland Gap will attempt to move on its 5-14 season record. The Highlanders enter the battle with a 0-3 record after their 15-3 non-league loss to Unaka (Elizabethton, TN).
The Black Raiders now possess a 5-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Castlewood for a Cumberland battle on Tuesday, May 2.
