Virginia High School Softball - Lancaster bounces Northumberland
April 25, 2023: Lancaster, VA 22503 Spectators at Tuesday's league match between the Lancaster Red Devils (Lancaster, VA) and the visiting Northumberland Indians (Heathsville, VA), witnessed Lancaster's softball squad prevail over Northumberland by a count of 12-2.
The Red Devils now sport a 4-10 record. They play next when they host Rappahannock for a Northern Neck match on Wednesday, April 26. Lancaster will face a Raiders squad coming off a 22-1 league win over Colonial Beach (Colonial Beach, VA). The Raiders record now stands at 11-0.
With the loss, Northumberland moves to 0-11 on the season. The Indians host Essex (Tappahannock, VA) to face the Trojans in a Northern Neck match on Thursday, April 27. The Trojans go into the match with a record of 10-2. Essex lost 3-2 in their recent league match against Westmoreland (Montross, VA)
